Louis Auguste Legrand: Prince K
The brilliant draughtsman and printmaker Louis Legrand is one of the most famous artists of the French Belle Époque, a time of freedom, progress and joie de vivre. Legrand depicted Paris life, its cafés, theatres, dancers and the decadent world of the beau monde. He became one of the most admired and sought after artists of the era and was perhaps the most successful printmaker of his period in Paris.
