Ilse Koch-Amberg: Poppies
Not much is known about Koch-Amberg, who spent most of her life and work in Hamburg. She was greatly influenced by the Japanese woodblock prints and the Arts and Crafts movement. She is mostly known for her colour woodcuts which usually depict still life with flowers.
Wohlgemuth & Lissner was a major German publisher of woodcuts and other art prints.
